Housing at New Hampshire Institute of Art
UNH Manchester students have an opportunity to access dorm rooms through the New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA). The dorm rooms are on a space available basis and all arrangements for housing are made directly with the NHIA.
Any student from an area colleges interested in living at the NHIA dorms must fill out an application with the Director of Student Services. They will be required to provide proof of registration at an area college and provide a valid ID. They require full payment at the time of move-in, students using Financial Aid therefore must complete a Master Promissory Note.
The dorm rooms are located at the newly renovated and secured space on the fourth floor of the YMCA in Manchester. The dorm rooms are dedicated to college students attending NHIA and other area colleges, as space allows. There is a resident assistant living in the dorm during the academic year. There is a shared kitchen area and student lounge. Students have secured mail boxes, membership in the Y and access to all facilities. Cable and internet service is available.
For information about dorm rooms through the NHIA, contact: Director of Student Services, NH Institute of Art, 603-836-2527 or visit: http://www.nhia.edu/housing_sr.php
Parking at New Hampshire Institute of Art
Parking is a universal issue for all institutions. All students must obtain a parking sticker before the start of the Fall semester. The sticker is valid for one year. Forms to request a sticker are available in the Registrar's office. Parking stickers are to be affixed to the driver-side, back window of the student's car. Failure to use your parking sticker may result in your car being towed. Parking is available on a first-come first-served basis in all three parking lots. Parking is limited. Additional parking is available within walking distance of the campus. Metered public parking is available on adjacent streets and at the Harnett city parking lot. Additional parking can be found in the parking garage, west of Victory Park.
Parking Stickers
Students receive one parking sticker per academic year. See the Registrar if more than one vehicle is used during the year. The sticker is affixed to the driver-side back window. Please note that this sticker does not guarantee parking in our lots. It is used for monitoring purposes only. Lost parking stickers are to be reported to the Registrar. A $10 replacement fee will be assessed. Students are not to lend parking stickers
