New Hampshire Resident Tuition Eligibility
Resident and nonresident designations for tuition billing purposes at UNH Manchester are made at the time of admission. This decision is based upon your application and any other relevant information. To claim New Hampshire residency, you must complete a notarized residency statement attesting to the fact that you (or your parents, if applicable) have been continuous legal residents in New Hampshire for a period of at least twelve months prior to registering for the term for which your in-state claim is made. If you are admitted from a state other than New Hampshire or from a foreign country, you are considered nonresident throughout your University attendance unless you have acquired bonafide residence in New Hampshire. The burden of proof in all cases is on the applicant. The University reserves the right to make the final decision concerning resident status for tuition purposes. A complete copy of rules governing tuition rates may be obtained from the Office of Admissions.
New England Regional Student Program
UNH Manchester participates in the New England Regional Student Program (NERSP) of the New England Board of Higher Education, in which each state college and university in New England offers a number of specialized programs at the undergraduate level to students from other New England states. Bachelor's degree programs offered at UNH Manchester under the NERSP agreement include community leadership, electrical engineering technology, humanities, mechanical engineering technology, and sign language interpretation and the associate in applied science degree in community leadership .If you reside in a New England state outside of New Hampshire, are interested in one of the listed degree programs, and want to know if the NERSP agreement applies to you, please contact the Office of Admissions or the New England Board of Higher Education, 45 Temple Place, Boston, MA 02111, telephone 617-357-9620, www.nebhe.org.
Home Schooling
Applications for admission from those who have been schooled at home are welcomed. An interview with an admissions officer is strongly encouraged so that we may become more familiar with your academic experiences and you may be advised of our application procedures. Please contact the Office of Admissions early to ensure adequate time for admission planning and application processing.
International Students
International students whose native language is not English must submit the results of a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
