Computer Labs, Clusters and Hours

Computer labs provide a productive working environment for students enrolled at the college who require computer access for academic activities. Computer labs are located in Room 114 at University Center. These facilities provide a productive working environment for students enrolled at UNH Manchester who require computer access for academic activities.

PC Cluster Lab offers a variety of applications from general word processing to GRE preparation. Dell computers are configured with MS Office suite, browsers equipped for access to Blackboard (UNH's electronic course site) and networked to a laser printer. A scanner is available for course activities. No OCR capability is supported.

Mac Lab has eMacs configured with Office and Internet access. Macintosh computers are available for general computing tasks and specialized coursework in multimedia applications. eMacs do not have floppy drives. Bring Flash storage or save files to Blackboard. Scanning capability is available on specific computers.

The instructional lab is reserved by faculty members for specific class sessions. There are 21 Dell PC's with standard lab software, a teaching podium with a Dell installed and adapter for a laptop computer. Due to popular use of this facility, we suggest that faculty reserve times early in the semester. Reservation confirmations for each semester will begin 3 weeks prior to the start of classes. Any course specific software required may be loaded on the PC's for a class meeting if the room is reserved at least 2 weeks in advance of date/time needed. The application must have the required copyright approvals.

Laptops may be checked out for use in the UNH Manchester Library. Learn more about laptop lending.

Email Computers on the third floor of University Center are available for eMail and chat, but they are not attached to printers.
