Time of fear
In World War II, more than 110,000 Japanese-Americans were forced into
relocation camps across the US. This film traces the lives of the
16,000 people who were sent to two camps in southeast Arkansas, one of
the poorest and most racially segregated places in America. It explores
the reactions of the native Arkansans who watched in bewilderment as
their tiny towns were overwhelmed by this huge influx of outsiders.
Through interviews with the internees and local citizens, the program
explores how it affected the local communities, and the impact this
history had on the issues of civil rights and social justice in America
then and now.

In the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC an alliance of Greek city-states
fought the invading Persian army in the mountain pass of Thermopylae.
Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in one of the most
famous
last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes lead a Army of well over
100,000
men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians and
other Slave
soldiers. Xerxes waited many days for King Leonidas to surrender or
withdraw. When the Greeks did not leave, Xerxes was left with no option
and he
moved forward. The battle lasted for about 3 days and after which all
300
Spartans were killed. The Spartan defeat would not have happened if not
for a
local shepherd, named Ephialtes, who defected to the Persians and
informed
Xerxes of a
separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could use to
outflank the Greeks.

A serial killer in the San Francisco Bay Area taunts police with his
letters and cryptic messages. The four men most affected by the killer
are San Francisco PD Homicide detectives David Toschi and William
Armstrong, and

Francisco Chronicle reporters Paul Avery and Robert Graysmith. Displays
the psychological and emotional effects of the killings, as well as the
endless procedural details of the investigation (handwriting experts,
the "2500"
suspects), the letters sent to the San Francisco Chronicle by Zodiac
and
the work of a 20+ year investigation that wears down and whittles away
at
any kind of normal life for Toshi and Graysmith. Both men are obsessed
with
Zodiac and both pay for this obsession with the hard years and loves
lost and never
regained.
Butch Cassidy and
the Sundance Kid
The Sundance Kid is the frontier's fastest gun. His partner, Butch
Cassidy is always dreaming up new ways to get rich fast. If only they

Hauru no ugoku
shiro Howl's moving castle
A young woman named Sophie is cursed by the Witch of the Waste and is
turned into an old woman who is unable to tell anyone of her plight.
Unable to continue her job at her mother's hat shop, she goes to the
ambulatory
castle of the notorious wizard Howl and insinuates herself into his
household.
Sophie befriends Calcifer, the fire demon who powers the castle and who
is
bound to Howl by a contract, the terms of which Calcifer cannot reveal.
They
promise to help each other with their problems. Like Calcifer, Howl can
also see
through the Witch's spell, and he and Sophie fall in love. Sophie helps
Howl
confront his former teacher, and the Witch of the Waste.
Akira
Childhood friends Tetsuo and Kaneda's motorcycle gang encounters a
military operation to retrieve an escaped experimental subject. The
military captures Tetsuo and conducts experiments on him that unleash
his latent
psychic abilities, but when these new powers rage out of control,
Tetsuo lashes
out at the world that has oppressed him.
Cowboy bebop the
movie
A terrorist bomb destroyed a tanker truck on Highway One on Mars
releasing a deadly virus killing hundreds. The rewards for the bomber's
capture is massive and the bounty hunter crew of the spaceship Bebop
would love
to get their hands on it.

Zelig

The Candidate
While Richard Nixon is on his way to re-election by a landslide, a
young,
honest, idealistic lawyer begins to learn the truth about running for

Coming home
A sad, poignant love story set against the social upheaval of the
Vietnam
war. Set in 1968, the story concerns a woman who, while her husband is
serving in Vietnam, falls in love with a paraplegic while performing
volunteer
work at a
San Diego veterans hospital.
Superman returns
