The following policies and procedures guide UNH Manchester's registration processes. For more information, contact the Registration Office.
Full-Time Special Student Policy
Students who have not been admitted to a UNH Manchester degree program are called continuing education or non-degree students. Continuing education students may register for UNH Manchester credit courses, but are limited to eleven or fewer credits. Since most UNH courses carry four credits, this usually means no more than two courses. This policy is in place to ensure that students who take three courses are qualified to do so and that continuing education students receive advice prior to enrolling in three courses.
As a continuing education student who wants to take three courses, you must get approval from the UNH Manchester Office of Admissions. This regulation also applies to continuing education students registered through the Division of Continuing Education in Durham. Students registered for more than eleven credits total through UNH Manchester and DCE will be assessed fulltime undergraduate tuition and fees.
FTSS students are those who have previously demonstrated the ability to handle college-level work. This means those who had a strong college-prepatory program in high school and/or those who have already successfully completed college courses and are not working full-time.
For more information please call the Admissions Office at 603-641-4150.
