College Transition Program For Esol Students

College Transition Program for ESOL students may be the answer!

The College Transition Program provides ESOL students from southern New Hampshire with access to a range of academic and support services.

The purpose of the program is simple: to help you achieve success in college and in life.

The College Transition Program for ESOL students is a one -year program combining academic courses with a variety of activities and workshops designed to build the skills you need for success in college. Beyond academic courses, the program includes:

  • Orientation and on-going academic advising where you will learn about college resources and how to successfully navigate the college environment
  • Faculty mentors who will support and guide you through the program
  • Workshops where you will learn study skills and test taking techniques that will build your confidence in the classroom and make you a better student
  • Math and English assessments where you will learn how to choose classes to build on your knowledge and position you to achieve your goals
  • Student clubs and activities where you will become part of the college community

Who should attend?

The College Transition Program is open to all students with a high school diploma. High school seniors are encouraged to apply before graduation.

Admission counselors from the UNH Manchester Office of Admission are available to meet with you and your family to discuss your goals and how the program can help you achieve them. Contact them to learn how to apply and explore financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
