Promoting The Value of Higher Education

The Manchester Area College Consortium (MACC), an initiative of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, was formed to promote the value of higher education and the important role the Manchester Area Colleges play in contributing to the economic, social and cultural well being of this area.

Eleven colleges and universities are located in the Manchester area and represent more than 15,500 students. The colleges united to connect with prospective students from all over the globe, as well as to greater Manchester residents and businesses, the considerable assets the colleges bring to the region. Those assets have a major positive impact on the quality and variety of educational options for both traditional and non-traditional students; on the ability of businesses to train and keep a skilled workforce; on the arts and recreational options in the area; and on the general quality of life.
